Vacancies

St Thomas More Catholic Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

SAFEGUARDING IS EVERYONE’S RESPONSIBILITY, NOTICE IT and REPORT IT!

In alignment with the guidance set in Keeping Children Safe in Education (2024) and Working Together to Safeguard Children (December 2023), all staff are expected to be fully committed to establishing and maintaining safe, supportive, and positive relationships with all students, ensuring their well-being and development in a secure and nurturing environment.

All staff are expected to uphold The Holy Spirit MAC Staff Code of Conduct and ensure adherence to safeguarding protocols and procedures to protect children, as outlined in the St Thomas More Catholic Academy Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy.

We require all applicants to be eligible to work in the UK without restrictions, as we are unable to offer sponsorship/work visas. At the interview stage, you will be required to provide proof of your Right to Work.

Online Checks

In line with KCSIE (Keeping Children Safe in Education) 2024, we will complete online searches as part of our due diligence on all shortlisted candidates.   If anything is identified as part of these checks they will be discussed with you at interview.  If any safeguarding concerns are identified we reserve the right to withdraw your application.

All successful candidates will be requested to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check.
