We look forward to welcoming Year 10 and Year 12 students back to school week from 15th June for 'face to face' meetings with their subject teachers as per the government guidelines. Students are required to adhere to the social distancing rules whilst on school site.
Year 7, 8 and 9 students should continue to work at home until the situation changes for these year groups. We understand this is frustrating for parents and carers so please contact us if you require any help with the remote learning your child is completing.
A reminder that there is provision in school for children of key workers (e.g. NHS staff, police, teachers, nursery staff, delivery drivers) and vulnerable children (those with an Educational Health Care Plan, Children who are Looked After and those who have a Social Worker). If you would like to avail of this provision for your child, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Children who do not fall into any of these groups should remain at home with appropriate care.
We would like to show our appreciation for all key workers at this time and we are delighted to be able to share this video with you that Elena Chamberlain in Year 12 has put together with the support from other Year 12 students and staff. What a fantastic show of unity from the STM community #staysafe #keyworkersmatters
We have created a Covid-19 section on our website with work for each year group. Your child can communicate with their subject teachers if they need any guidance or support with their school work. A lot of work is on Google classroom too so students will receive a class code to access this from their subject teachers. We will continue to provide information about school work for your child via ParentMail.
If students are experiencing any IT log in issues with email, Google classroom, Educake, Bedrock or Hegarty Maths, please email email@example.com and state your child’s name, year group and the specific IT-related problem. IT technicians will aim to respond within 24 hours.
We keep in our prayers those in health care settings, those who are vulnerable and anyone we know who has been infected. As Christians, let’s encourage our young people to be examples of kindness and charity to others during this troubling time.
Please rest assured that your children remain our number one priority and we will do everything in our power to support them and you. Thank you for your support and understanding at this very difficult time.
