Humanities

Overview:

Humanities is the study of the world around us and of where we have come from.  The main humanities subjects taught at St Thomas More School are Geography and History.

When studying humanities we aim to develop our students knowledge of the world and enable them to think critically about some of the major issues we all face today.

All students in years 7 and 8 are taught both subjects.  After this both are offered as GCSE options for further study

Geography

There are two specialist Geography rooms. They both contain a projector and networked computers. However we still value the resources and facilities provided by the library for research based tasks.
