St Thomas More Catholic School & Sixth Form College
St Thomas More Catholic School & Sixth Form College is the only Catholic Secondary School in North Warwickshire and currently caters for pupils of all abilities, both boys and girls between the ages of 11-18. Currently, there are around 1000 students on roll (including 6th form students) and the school's current intake is 156 pupils each year. The school became an 11-18 school in September 2011 with the opening of a new sixth form at the school. Sixth form students are accommodated in a new state of the art sixth form centre with capacity for 250 students which was built at a cost of £6.5 million.
After much planning and preparation, the conversion of our five North Warwickshire Catholic schools to academy status, forming one Catholic Multi Academy Company, is now complete. On Sunday 1st March 2015, St. Thomas More Catholic School and 6th Form College formed part of the Holy Spirit Catholic Multi Academy, along with the following schools:
Our Lady and St Joseph Catholic Academy
St. Anne’s Catholic Primary School
St. Francis Catholic Primary School
- St. Benedict’s Catholic Primary School
This marks a very exciting point in the development of each school, as it does for Catholic education in North Warwickshire. The formal collaboration has officially begun, bringing with it many opportunities for both staff and the children. Our vision for every child attending a school within the Holy Spirit Catholic Multi Academy is for them to receive an outstanding education, allowing them to have the best possible life chances. Our aim will be to ensure that every child has rich, diverse learning opportunities, enabling them to become the person God intends them to be.
The role of the new Board of Directors is now to ensure that each school continues to thrive and improve and that all staff are supported in enabling each child to fulfil their God given potential.
We very much look forward to shaping the strategic vision of the Holy Spirit Catholic Multi Academy. I ask that you offer your prayers for all those involved in this very exciting collaboration and pray particularly for the Board of Directors, that we may serve each school and community to the best of our ability.
